Snow, snow, and more snow...

I like snow. That is, if I can stay inside with a nice cup of hot chocolate and look out the window at it. I no longer have any desire to go out and play in the snow, like I did when I was a kid. Possibly because I don't have those cool snow pants anymore that made it possible to play in the snow without getting miserably wet and frozen. I should probably get some for my kids, because they have grown out of the ones we had, but have you seen the prices of those things?! Holy Cow!

I wouldn't mind getting a whole lot of snow around here if it were not for the fact that the people around here evidently have no idea of how to deal with the snow. The snow plows are a joke, and the drivers seem to have no idea what they are doing. They fly along as fast as they possibly can, which on these bumpy roads means that every time they hit a bump, there is a whole stretch that is untouched because the blade bounces up, or there is a dip in the road that they just skim over the top of because they are moving too fast.

Aha! The call just came... only a 1 hour delay tomorrow. That always makes my mornings fun, since I have to try to get DS to daycare and get back in about 45 minutes instead of an hour and 45... hopefully the roads will be clear enough that it won't be a problem.

Isn't this the truth!
